Voluntary Right to Buy pilot

Voluntary Right to Buy (VRTB ) is a pilot scheme in the West and East Midlands enabling customers who rent their home to purchase their property from Bromford at a discounted price. We are taking part in this pilot to test the policy enabling Bromford customers* to buy their home at a discounted price. The discounts available are the same value as council tenants enjoy under the Right to Buy scheme and are funded by the Government.

You can check whether you may be eligible to apply by checking through the links and registering your interest using the form below. To apply you will need to register for a unique reference number through the Government's portal for applications, here: www.midlands.righttobuy.gov.uk/.

PLEASE NOTE: The portal is now closed. There is a limited amount of Government funding available for this pilot and it is for the whole of the West Midlands. This means that not all applications will be successful. We cannot accept any application without a unique reference number.

*Subject to eligibility criteria listed below.
If you live in a home owned by Bromford and do not live in a local authority area within the pilot we are unable to accept an application from you. The areas to be included within the pilot have been set by the government. The local authority areas not covered by the scheme include Tewkesbury Borough Council, Cheltenham Borough Council, Gloucester City Council, Stroud District Council and Forest of Dean District Council and Cotswold District Council.
