Marion Turns 104

Picture of Marion PriestHealth, happiness and a nightly gin and tonic are the keys to a long life according to our Tynings Court resident Marion Priest, who as just turned 104.

Born in Kidderminster, Marion moved to Gloucester in 1937 and worked as a Supervisor at Gloucester Carpet Works, until she reired at the age of 63.

She said: "I've never been bothered about birthdays, but I was thrilled to get my fourth telegram from the Queen. I've lived here for 27 years and I'm very happy. I enjoy meeting up with other residents on the scheme, playing cards and bingo".
