Staff are taking part in Cycle to Work Day on Wednesday 14th September. Cycle to Work Day is a national event, which aims to encourage everyone to take to two wheels and cycle to work for just one day.
Regular cyclists Les Peglar and Steve Bourne are some of the staff gearing up to take part in the day.
ICT Manager Steve Bourne said: “I’m taking part in Cycle to Work Day as I think it’s a really good way to highlight the benefits of it. I regularly cycle to work in the summer months from Walton Cardiff. It’s a good way of keeping fit, it’s nicer than driving and it helps me relax after a long day in the office”.
TREAT YOUR BIKE TO A FREE HEALTH CHECK
Free Bike Health Checks are available until 14th September. Hundreds of local bike shops across the UK are offering the check to celebrate Cycle to Work Day. A trained professional will assess bicycles and give it a simple safety rating. Find a local participating retailer here: www.cycletoworkday.org/retailer-finder
