Help when you need it

If you, or somebody you know is a little unstable on their feet or suffering with a long term condition, the Helpline alarm can support you to live independently at home.

By turning your telephone line into a lifeline, Helpline brings reassurance to you and your family at the touch of a button; by providing help should you need it 24 hours a day.

How does it work?

Helpline alarm pendant In an emergency you can call for help by pressing the button on the base unit, or on the pendant worn around your neck or wrist. Pressing the button alerts the dedicated control centre which, depending on the nature of the call, will send a nominated friend or family member, a doctor or the emergency services, to your home. You choose who you would like your nominated contacts to be. If you do not want anyone to have a key, or you are relying on the emergency services, you can install a key safe to allow them access into your home.

What if I can't speak to the control centre?

Don’t worry. As soon as you are connected your details appear on the control centre’s screen, staff will know exactly who you are and where you live. If they get no response from you they will alert a contact to check on you.

How do I get the Helpline installed in my home?

Simply call 01684 272745 and we can arrange to have the Helpline installed in your home. All you need is a telephone socket and an electric power point close to your telephone line.

What happens if there's a fault with the equipment?

During the installation we will complete a test call with you to ensure it is working and so you can see how easy it is to use. We then require you to do a test call every month to make sure everything is working. Should there be a problem with your unit, or the battery, it will show up on the control centre’s screen and they will notify you or us. We will then solve the problem.

I live outside the Tewkesbury area, can I still have one?

We provide equipment in Tewkesbury and the north Cotswold area. If you live outside this area you should contact your local provider.

How much does it cost?

It's £43.50 per quarter, or approximately £3.35 per week (plus VAT) and this covers maintenance and monitoring. There is also a one-off installation fee of £25.00 in Tewkesbury and the North Cotswolds.
