Who are our stakeholders?
We have relationships with many people, groups and organisations, and they are all our stakeholders - they include, for example, customers, staff, local community groups, partner organisations, charities, politicians, regulators and suppliers.
How does our Stakeholder Senate work?
The Senate is made up of 9 Severn Vale Housing customers and seven representatives of partner organisations, including Tewkesbury Borough Council, Green Square, Gloucestershire Fire Service and the Furniture Recycling Project.
It's an independent group that aims to champion the voice of those who receive, or are affected by, SVHS services and ensure that this perspective is understood by the Board and factored in to any decisions they make.
How does our Stakeholder Senate make a difference?
In recent years, our Senate has contributed to positive changes to the SVHS Corporate Plan, the anti-social behaviour policy, tenant’s handbook, and repairs and maintenance policy.
Senate members have been consulted and participated in several working groups and continue to review, comment on the impact of, and make suggested improvements to policies which directly affect SVHS customers. We provide a bespoke training programme for our members to support them in doing this.
