Due to community concerns regarding parking on the park, the Priors Park Resident Panel (PPRP) working group have organised a ‘Walkabout’ event for Thursday 20th November, 11am, meeting at Priors Park Neighbourhood Project – 103 Queens Road, Priors Park. Representatives from Gloucestershire Highways, the Police’s Safer Communities Team, Severn Vale Housing and Tewkesbury town council will be attending to support the residents identify parking ‘hotspots’ on the park and discuss further investigation into the acknowledged issues. This is an encouraging collaboration of residents and organisations working together in partnership to shape future services. Further Information‘Pride on the Park’ – Residents Panel:The Residents Panel is supported by the Priors Park Neighbourhood Project and receives funding from Severn Vale Housing. It consists of a panel of residents that are consulted via questionnaires bi-monthly regarding issues such as education and flooding. The information collated is shared with the relevant organisations that then work with the Resident Panel's working group to shape local decision-making and in-service delivery for the future. Community Engagement:Charmaine Hughes has recently been employed by the newly formed Tewkesbury Borough Neighbourhood Project Partnership to work within the areas of Priors Park, Brockworth and Churchdown. The funding for this position was received from a contract awarded by Gloucestershire County Council. The main objective of the contract is to "give local people and local communities more influence and power to improve their lives. It is about creating strong, prosperous communities and delivering better public services through a rebalancing of the relationship between central government, local government and local people."
