Parklands is a well presented Retirement Scheme specifically for the over 60s which strongly promotes independent living within your own self contained property but also providing access to a communal lounge, kitchen, laundry room and gardens. The scheme also has a double guest bedroom. Parklands provides’ it residents with 22 x 1 bedroom flats. Linked to this scheme is another Retirement Scheme, Meadowsweet House. Which is located a 3 minute walk away. At Meadowsweet there are also 14 x 1 bedroom flats over 2 floors but all properties on the first floor can be accessed via stairs or lift. The Scheme Manager is on site 9-5, Monday to Friday providing a ‘friendly neighbour’ service. On top of this service all of the properties are fitted with an emergency pull-cord system which can be activated 24hours a day, 7 days a week. Parklands provides a large communal lounge where residents can play a host of games such as darts and even access the internet. Also organised are various activities such as day trips, coffee mornings and much more! All properties are fitted with double glazing and central heating. Most bathrooms are fitted with a level access shower as standard. There are large well maintained communal gardens are communal and there is also a residents only parking area. |
