Community Impact Fund

As well as our Community Development Officers, who work on projects to improve the areas we work in, we also have a small funding pot known as the ‘Community Impact Fund’. Each year this £10,000 pot is divided between local organisations and community groups to help them deliver work to benefit the local community. In order to be awarded a grant, groups must be able to show how their project will be of benefit to Severn Vale Housing customers by completing a funding application form.

In the last 12 months the fund has supported:

  • Creative drama, art & music taster sessions and drama classes with a performance (organised by The Butterfly Garden & Everyman Theatre)
  • Northway Community Day of Action
  • The Big Energy Leak 2 (organised by Transition Cleeve)
  • The Big Lunch (organised by Kingsway Residents Association)
  • Northway Fete (organised by Northway Area Residents & Homeowners Association)
  • Tewkesbury in Bloom
  • Coopers Edge Dreamscheme
  • Tewkesbury Nature Reserve
  • Brockworth Youth Football
  • Tewkesbury School Boat Club
  • White Tiger Tae Kwan Do
  • Tewkesbury Youth Support Centre
  • Ashchurch Station Garden

For a more detailed update on who we have supported please see some of our quarterly updates attached below.

If you know of a community group or project in a Severn Vale area who might be interested in applying for some support from the Community Impact Fund, please encourage them to contact Louise Forey, Community Development Officer, on 01684 272726 or to email to request more information. Alternatively an application form can be downloaded from below and returned to the same address or posted to us here at the office - Severn Vale Housing Society, Shannon Way, Tewkesbury, GL20 8ND.
